Newly-appointed Director of Football and first team Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kim Grant has pledged to return the club to their glory days urging the Phobians to give him their maximum support to make the dream a reality.
In his first interview with the club’s website, the ex-Ghana international expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the club for reposing confidence in him promising to work hard to end the club’s nine years wait for a major trophy.

“My sincere thanks go out to the club’s esteemed leaders for having the faith and confidence in me to return the club to its position at the pinnacle of African football. I am humbled at the opportunity to lead this great football club.

I understand the expectations at a club like Hearts and am ready to get to work. Under my leadership, we will bring back the Never Say Die spirit,” assured the 46-year-old trainer.

“I ask all true Phobians to fully embrace and support this exciting new chapter so that together, we will rise again,” he concluded.

Grant, who will be officially outdoored by Hearts on Thursday afternoon, is expected to add his depth of experience to the Hearts bench, having started his career with Charlton Athletic before playing for other clubs such as Luton Town, Millwall, Yeovil Twon and AFC Wimbledon.

His managerial experience has also taken him to clubs such as Working, before returning to coach FC Takoradi. He also worked as the technical director of Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs where he helped to save them from relegation in 2014.

In April last year, Grant was appointed as the head coach of Bangladeshi club, Saif Sport Club Limited, before returning home to take up a role as the technical director of Elmina Sharks in December that same year.
