Bank Roller of Ghanaian club Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC, Dr.Kwaku Frimpong has disclosed that he never sacked coach C.K Akunnor as purported in the media.

Current Asante Kotoko gaffer was shown the exit as technical head of the Obuasi based outfit having been in-charge for less than a season, though his performance with the club was not poor but was shown the exit door.

Speaking to Akakpo Adgodji in an interview, 'Champion' as popularly known within the football circles revealed that, Akunnor is doing marvelously well with the Porcupine Warriors in their African campaign.

However, what led to Akunnor joining the Reds was not the sack by the Miners rather the coach's stubbornness cost him the job.

"I never sacked C.K Akunnor, he played stubbornly". Yeah, he played stubbornly", he revealed.

"Akunnor was doing well at Obuasi I should say but his stubbornness led to his sack". We never fired him".
