Hostages have been reportedly been taken captive by alleged terrorists following a deadly Paris shooting that has reportedly left 18 dead. There are reportedly close to 60 people being held at the Bataclan Concert hall.

Tragedy continues to unfold in Paris, following a deadly shooting that left more than a dozen people dead. In addition to this vile attack, there is a report of hostages being taken captive near the location where the deadly Charlie Hedbo terrorist attack occurred earlier in the year.

European sources are reporting that people have been taken captive at the Bataclan concert venue near the Place de la Republique, reports the Telegraph. This was also reported by the Agence France-Presse, the European version of the AP. At this point time, there are reports of upwards to 60 people taken hostage by these reported terrorists.

At least 18 people were reportedly killed during an intense shootout at a Paris restaurant on Nov. 13, reports the New York Times. In addition, there was an explosion reportedly heard near the Stade de France stadium north of Paris during a France-Germany soccer match. At this point in time, it’s unknown if the two incidents are related.

Emilioi Macchio, an Italian, was near the restaurant when the shooting started. When the bullets started flying, he fled behind a corner. “It sounded like fireworks,” he tells the New York Times. We will continue to update this story with new information.
