She's yet to announce and charity patronages, but Meghan's first official role as a working royal has been confirmed.

The new Duchess of Sussex is being officially incorporated into William, Kate and Harry's Royal Foundation, according to Companies House.

Hello! magazine reports that a change to the name was requested on Monday, to make the organisation The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The paperwork is being processed and will be available within five days.

Meghan attended her first Royal Foundation event in February, her first official appearance with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The former actress, 36, joined Harry, William and Kate at the first Royal Foundation Forum to update the public on their charitable projects.

Asked for her thoughts on the Royal Foundation, Meghan said: 'To see the model of the foundation is really interesting because, while I've worked with larger NGOs, I've also worked with really small grassroots organisations where you can see a higher level of impact in my opinion, because there's a lot less red tape.

'What you are seeing here and what I noticed with Heads Together from a global perspective, because I wasn't here obviously when it was happening, was the power of convening all of these small organisations who have this same issue but need that extra push and support under this umbrella, you are able to achieve that.

'And the impact they all made with Heads Together was tremendous.

'So I'm very excited to be able to work on initiatives similarly and have that same sort of impact globally.'

She explained that her involvement had been limited having only been in the UK for three months, but added: 'With that said, for me it's very important to want to hit the ground running.

'Even if it's doing it quietly behind the scenes which is what I've focused my energy on thus far ... is meeting with the right people, meeting with the organisations behind the scenes quietly, learning as much as I can so I can maximise the opportunity we have here to really make an impact.'

The new Duchess of Sussex made her first post-honeymoon appearance on Saturday when she joined the royal family for her debut Trooping The Colour.

According to Mirror Online, a lip-reading expert has claimed that Harry asked his wife if she was OK during a private exchange between the newlyweds, to which she anxiously responded: 'Yeah'.

A short while later, Meghan appeared to admit she was feeling 'nervous' as she made her balcony debut in front of huge crowds who had gathered on The Mall to catch a glimpse of the royals.

Fresh from their rumoured honeymoon spent in Canada and Co. Mayo, Ireland, the newlyweds cut happy and relaxed figures as they paid tribute to Her Majesty at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, at Whitehall's Horse Guard parade.
